Gemini BIG BLOCK

With the Stock D1 on 14psi pushing the Car into the low 13's with 180-200rwhp the hunger for more didnt take long. After much research it was decided to use a 4ZE1 2.6L

The block was checked and put through every machine process under the sun including Torque plate plateau honing for the absolute best ring seal.

With advice from a pro engine builder some Custom JE forged pistons were designed utilizing full floating pins, reduced weight, anti-scuff skirt coatings, thin perfomance rings and a thick crown for maximum power handling and ceramic coating for thermal protection. These were attached to a set of new forged SPOOL H-beam connecting rods with ARP2000 rod bolts.

ACL Race bearings, new core plugs, seals, ARP head studs, MLS head gasket, hi volume water pump, new water pump and timing gear

The head was hardness tested, bead blasted, professionally ported, oversize stainless steel valves and springs fitted. Combustion chambers, exhaust valves and exhaust ports were ceramic coated.

The expectation was 350-400rwhp using a Garret 30/76 spooling to 20psi but while also keeping in mind enough is never enough and it would handle a larger turbo and more boost if / when the need arose.

Unfortunately life got in the way and the engine has to date never left the engine stand :(
